Scope. This article explains when each graha (planet) occupies each of the twelve bhāvas (houses) from the lagna (ascendant).
How to read these results. The house-wise meanings must be judged along with the planet’s strength/weakness, aspects, lordships, yogas, and the operating daśā—they are not to be applied in isolation.
Glossary (quick starter for beginners)
Lagna — Ascendant; the first house reference point in a birth chart.
Bhāva — House; one of twelve life domains (self, wealth, siblings, home, children, enemies, spouse, longevity, dharma, profession, gains, loss).
Daśā — Planetary period that times events.
Kuja-doṣa — A Mars-related blemish impacting marriage when Mars afflicts certain marriage-signifying places (e.g., 1/4/7/8/12).
Bālariṣṭa — Early-life affliction; e.g., Moon in 6/8/12 among other conditions can indicate vulnerability in infancy

Note. Traditional texts also caution specifically about the Sun in the 5th as sensitive for the first-born child; apply contextually with aspects/strengths.
